Overview

HS Charitable Trust is dedicated to promoting sustainable livelihoods by equipping marginalized communities with the skills, resources, and support necessary to thrive in today’s evolving economy. Through focused programs targeting women, youth, informal sector workers, and micro-entrepreneurs, we provide vocational training, business development assistance, and financial literacy education to enhance employability and nurture entrepreneurial spirit.

Our approach goes beyond traditional skill-building by encouraging environmentally conscious practices and local resource utilization, fostering models of circular economy that promote reuse and resource efficiency. This enables communities not only to secure stable incomes but also to contribute to sustainable development.

Programs

Beautypreneur

At HS Charitable Trust, we believe in unlocking the potential of women in underserved communities. The Beautypreneur Program empowers women to start their own beauty and wellness ventures or pursue careers in the industry. In many communities, women are often limited to household roles with few chances to explore their talents or earn an income. This program helps bridge that gap by providing professional beauty training, entrepreneurial skills, and the confidence to become self-reliant.

Barberpreneur

The men’s grooming industry has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, with increased demand for advanced services such as hair highlights, hair spa, full-body massages, waxing, and facials. Despite this shift, many small salon barbers continue to offer only basic services, limiting their income potential and growth. Recognizing this gap, the Barberpreneur program was initiated as a pilot to provide barbers from small salons with a platform to enhance their skills, increase their revenue, and become financially visible and bankable through structured business and technical training

Udaan

In India’s urban slums, youth often face limited opportunities due to lack of access to quality education, job-ready skills, and career guidance. As a result, many end up in low-paying, unstable jobs despite having the potential to do more. At the same time, industries in manufacturing and services are struggling to find skilled workers. The Udaan Program by HS Charitable Trust was launched to bridge this gap—connecting youth aspirations with real job market needs.
